Summer Connecticut Wedding at The Roger Sherman Inn

In my opinion, there is something magical about a summer outdoor wedding. Of course you are taking a chance with weather, but if it hits right you’ve basically hit the lottery.

This wedding was hosted at the Roger Sherman Inn in New Canaan, Connecticut. This venue has so much historic charm dating back to the 18th century which makes it so special. This outdoor celebration was brought to life by Annie, from Alongside Annie. Vibrant colors and citrus inspiration was incorporated to create an amazing outdoor bistro celebration!

For this design, together with Annie, I designed some bright colorful elements that brought a cohesive feel to the overall theme! The table setting had bright colored florals that were surrounded by sliced citrus fruits.

On top of the plate setting was a bright pink circular menu that highlighted their family style meal. Fun menus do more than guide your guests—they set the tone for an engaging and memorable experience. A beautifully designed menu not only showcases your culinary selections but also acts as part of the overall décor, tying together your theme. A top of the menu, was a real slice of an orange adorned with each guests name written in hand calligraphy in a bright citrus orange color ink. Personalized place cards add an intimate touch, making each guest feel special and welcomed. Whether adorned with elegant calligraphy or playful details that reflect your style, these small touches create big moments your guests will remember.

To bring it all together, a watercolor table number was set along the middle of each table.

This wedding had so many details that made it all come together so perfectly. The long tables under the bistro string lights surrounded by the amazing gardens on the Roger Sherman Inn grounds was picturesque.

If you’re planning your own Connecticut wedding and want to infuse your day with personalized charm, custom calligraphy can bring your vision to life. From invitations to day-of signage, the details make all the difference!
